Joynal Ali

Joynal joined Cumberland Community School in 2022 as an Assistant Headteacher and Head of Science. 

An Oxford University graduate, Joynal has over 10 years of teaching experience, 8 of which which have been spent here in Newham.

Having worked as an AQA GCSE Examiner and Moderator, he has led prior schools to progress scores well above the national average.

His focus is to raise standards and outcomes in Science alongside helping to develop the Community Schools Trust Science curriculum. 

Joynal's passion lies with negating the inequality in education due to impoverished backgrounds, thus helping to improve all students' life chances.
